ചെന്നൈ സൂപ്പര്‍ കിങ്‌സില്‍ മോശം സീസണായിരുന്നു ജാദവിന്.12 ഇന്നിങ്‌സില്‍ ബാറ്റേന്തിയ ജാദവിന് 162 റണ്‍സ് മാത്രമാണ് നേടാന്‍ സാധിച്ചത്. മാത്രമല്ല പന്തെറിഞ്ഞിട്ടുമില്ലായിരുന്നു. ജൂണ്‍ അഞ്ചിന് ദക്ഷിണാഫ്രിക്കയ്ക്ക് എതിരെയാണ് ഇന്ത്യയുടെ ആദ്യ മത്സരം. ഈമാസം 22ന് ഇന്ത്യ ഇംഗ്ലണ്ടിലേക്ക് തിരിക്കുമെന്നാണ് അറിയുന്നത്. അതിന് മുമ്പ് പരിക്ക് ഭേദമായില്ലെങ്കില്‍ മറ്റൊരു താരത്തെ കണ്ടുപിടിക്കേണ്ടി വരും ഇന്ത്യക്ക്.
പരിക്ക് സാരമുള്ളതാണെങ്കില്‍ നിലവില്‍ ഋഷഭ് പന്താണ് പകരക്കാരനായി ടീമിലെത്താന്‍ സാധ്യത. സെലക്ഷന്‍ കമ്മിറ്റി സ്റ്റാന്‍ഡ് ബൈ താരമായി തെരഞ്ഞെടുത്തതും പന്തിനെയാണ്. മുമ്പും പരിക്കുകളുടെ തോഴനായിരുന്നു ജാദവ്. കഴിഞ്ഞ ഐപിഎല്‍ സീസണില്‍ ആദ്യ സീസണ്‍ മാത്രം കളിച്ച താരത്തിന് ശേഷിക്കുന്ന മാച്ചുകളില്‍ കളിക്കാന്‍ കവിഞ്ഞില്ലായിരുന്നു. അന്ന് പേശിവലിവാണ് താരത്തിന് വിനയായത്.
