University of Sharjah

The University of Sharjah was established in 1997 by His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al-Qassimi, Member of the supreme Council, Ruler of Sharjah, and President of UoS, with a great vision to enjoy essential qualities shared by renowned universities around the globe. Such qualities enable these institutions to progress forward much faster than others. They enjoy considerable infrastructure for learning and research and manage to attract renowned faculty with academic heft. They are decidedly international in their outlook and vision and in the composition of their student and faculty population. They attract talented students from different backgrounds and challenge them both inside and outside the classroom.

UoS is a comprehensive academic institution, the main campus is in the heart of the university city and has three Branches in AlDhaid; Khor Fakkan and Kalba. offering more than 98 programs including BSc/BA’s, MSc/MA’s/MBA’s, PhD’s and a specialist Executive MBA program. It is a pioneer in academia, scientific research and the arts in the UAE and the GCC region. UoS has almost 14,325students representing 96 nationalities and 656 full-time faculty. In the Medical and Health Sciences field, it’s critically acclaimed and dedicated medical cluster has modern facilities for the study and research in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, and health sciences.

The University is fully licensed and all its programs are accredited by the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA) of the Ministry of Education in the United Arab Emirates.
