    He can issue ordinance only when both houses are not in session or either one house is not in session. 
    The ordinance issued when both houses are in session is void.
    Every ordinance issued by president must be approved within 6 weeks after reassembly of parliament to become an act or else it ceases to operate.
    The 44th constitutional amendment made ordinance power of president is under judicial review.
