പതിനേഴാം ഓവര്‍ എറിഞ്ഞ ഖലീല്‍ ആദ്യ പന്തില്‍ സിക്സര്‍ വഴങ്ങിയിട്ടും ആ ഓവറില്‍ പിന്നീട് മൂന്ന് റണ്‍സ് മാത്രം വഴങ്ങി ശക്തമായി തിരിച്ചുവന്നിരുന്നു.
ദില്ലി: ബംഗ്ലാദേശിനെതിരായ ടി20 പരമ്പരയിലെ ആദ്യ മത്സരത്തില്‍ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ തോല്‍വിയില്‍ നിര്‍ണായകമായത് ഖലീല്‍ അഹമ്മദ് എറിഞ്ഞ പത്തൊമ്പതാം ഓവറായിരുന്നു.രണ്ടോവറില്‍ ബംഗ്ലാദേശിന് ജയത്തിലേക്ക് 22 റണ്‍സ് വേണമെന്ന ഘട്ടത്തില്‍ മത്സരം ആവേശകരമായ അന്ത്യത്തിലേക്ക് അടുക്കുമ്പോഴായിരുന്നു പത്തൊമ്പതാം ഓവറില്‍ 18 റണ്‍സ് വഴങ്ങിയത്.
പതിനേഴാം ഓവര്‍ എറിഞ്ഞ ഖലീല്‍ ആദ്യ പന്തില്‍ സിക്സര്‍ വഴങ്ങിയിട്ടും ആ ഓവറില്‍ പിന്നീട് മൂന്ന് റണ്‍സ് മാത്രം വഴങ്ങി ശക്തമായി തിരിച്ചുവന്നിരുന്നു. ഈ ആത്മവിശ്വാസത്തിലാണ് ക്യാപ്റ്റന്‍ രോഹിത് ശര്‍മ പത്തൊമ്പതാം ഓവര്‍ ഖലീലിന് നല്‍കിയത്. ആദ്യ രണ്ട് പന്തില്‍ രണ്ട് റണ്‍സ് മാത്രം വഴങ്ങിയ ഖലീല്‍ പ്രതീക്ഷ നല്‍കിയെങ്കിലും അടുത്ത നാലു പന്തില്‍ നാലു ബൗണ്ടറി വഴങ്ങി കളി കൈവിട്ടു. ഇതോടെ ഖലീലിന്റെ മോശം ബൗളിംഗിനെതിരെ അതിരൂക്ഷ വിമര്‍ശനവുമായി ആരാധകര്‍ രംഗത്തെത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു.
മുഷ്ഫീഖുര്‍ റഹീമാണ് ഖലീലിന്റെ തുടര്‍ച്ചയായ നാലു പന്തുകളും ബൗണ്ടറി കടത്തിയത്. നേരത്തെ മുഷ്ഫീഖുര്‍ റഹീമിന്റെ അനായാസ ക്യാച്ച് ബൗണ്ടറിയില്‍ ക്രുനാല്‍ പാണ്ഡ്യ കൈവിട്ടിരുന്നു. ഇതും മത്സരഫലത്തില്‍ നിര്‍ണായകമായി.
