ദില്ലി : അമേരിക്കൻ പ്രസിഡന്റ് ഡോണൾഡ് ട്രംപുമായി ടെലിഫോണിൽ ചർച്ച നടത്തി പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി നരേന്ദ്ര മോദി. വ്യാപാര ബന്ധം അടക്കം ചർച്ചയായതായി പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി വ്യക്തമാക്കി. പശ്ചിമേഷ്യയിൽ തുടരുന്ന സംഘർഷങ്ങളും ഇരുനേതാക്കളും ചർച്ച ചെയ്തു. ഇന്ത്യ-അമേരിക്ക ബന്ധം മുന്നോട്ട് കൊണ്ടുപോകുമെന്ന് നരേന്ദ്ര മോദി ട്വീറ്റ് ചെയ്തു. റഷ്യയിൽ നിന്നും എണ്ണ വാങ്ങുന്നതിന് ഇന്ത്യയ്ക്ക് അധിക താരിഫ് ഏർപ്പെടുത്താനുള്ള യുഎസ് നീക്കത്തിനിടയാണ് മോദി-ട്രംപ് ചർച്ച നടന്നത്.

Had a productive conversation with President Trump. We reviewed our bilateral cooperation in trade, defence, energy, critical technologies and other areas. We agreed to maintain close engagement to take our Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership forward.

We also exchanged views on regional and international issues, including ongoing efforts to advance global peace and security.
