കൈകള്‍ വൃത്തിയായി കഴുകേണ്ടതിന്‍റെ പ്രാധാന്യം കുട്ടികള്‍ക്ക് പറഞ്ഞുകൊടുക്കാന്‍ ഫുട്ബോള്‍ കളിച്ച് സച്ചിന്‍ ടെന്‍ഡുല്‍ക്കര്‍. ഭൂട്ടാനിലാണ് യൂനിസെഫ് അംബാസിഡറായ സച്ചിന്‍ ഇതിനായെത്തിയത്.
തിമ്പു: ക്രിക്കറ്റില്‍ നിന്ന് വിരമിച്ച ശേഷം കായികമേഖലയുടെ സമഗ്രവികസനത്തിനും ജീവകാരുണ്യ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനങ്ങള്‍ക്കും സമയം കണ്ടെത്തുകയാണ് മാസ്റ്റര്‍ ബ്ലാസ്റ്റര്‍ സച്ചിന്‍ ടെന്‍ഡുല്‍ക്കര്‍. ഒട്ടേറെ ചുമതലകള്‍ക്കിടെ കുട്ടികള്‍ക്കായുള്ള പ്രവര്‍ത്തനങ്ങളിലും സജീവമാണ് യൂനിസെഫിന്‍റെ അംബാസിഡര്‍ കൂടിയായ സച്ചിന്‍. യൂനിസെഫിന്‍റെ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനങ്ങളുടെ ഭാഗമായി ഭൂട്ടാനിലെത്തിയ സച്ചിന്‍ കുട്ടികള്‍ക്കൊപ്പം ഫുട്ബോള്‍ കളിക്കാന്‍ സമയം കണ്ടെത്തി.
ഇതിന്‍റെ ചിത്രങ്ങള്‍ സച്ചിന്‍ ട്വിറ്ററില്‍ പങ്കുവെച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഒപ്പം കുട്ടികളോടായി ഒരു സുപ്രധാന സന്ദേശവും ക്രിക്കറ്റ് ഇതിഹാസത്തിന് പറയാനുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. 'ഫുട്ബോളിന് ശേഷം ഞങ്ങള്‍ സോപ്പ് ഉപയോഗിച്ച് കൈകള്‍ നന്നായി കഴുകി. കളി പ്രധാനമാണ്, അതിനേക്കാള്‍ പ്രധാനമാണ് ഏത് കാര്യം ചെയ്തുകഴിഞ്ഞും കൈകള്‍ കഴുകേണ്ടത് എന്ന് കാണിക്കാണിത്. പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് ഭക്ഷണം കഴിക്കുന്നതിന് മുന്‍പ് കൈകള്‍ വൃത്തിയായി കഴുകണം'. കുട്ടികള്‍ക്കൊപ്പം ചെലവഴിക്കുന്ന ചിത്രങ്ങളോടെ സച്ചിന്‍ കുറിച്ചു.
യൂനിസെഫ് സൗത്ത് ഏഷ്യയുടെ 'ഐ വാഷ് മൈ ഹാന്‍റ്‌സ്' എന്ന പ്രചരണത്തിന്‍റെ ഭാഗമായാണ് സച്ചിന്‍ ഭൂട്ടാനിലെത്തിയത്. ഭൂട്ടാനിലെ നിരവധി പരിപാടികളിലാണ് സച്ചിന്‍ പങ്കെടുത്തത്.
