പ്രധാനമന്ത്രിയുടെ അഭ്യര്‍ത്ഥന പ്രകാരം ഇന്ത്യന്‍ തീര്‍ത്ഥാടകര്‍ക്കുള്ള ഹജ്ജ് ക്വാട്ട രണ്ട് ലക്ഷമാക്കി ഉയര്‍ത്തുമെന്നും സൗദി കിരീടാവകാശി മുഹമ്മദ് ബിന്‍ സല്‍മാന്‍. ഇന്ത്യയില്‍ നൂറ് ബില്ല്യണ്‍ ഡോളര്‍ സൗദി നിക്ഷേപിക്കുമെന്നും പ്രഖ്യാപനം.
ദില്ലി: സൗദി അറേബ്യന്‍ ജയിലുകളിലെ 850 ഇന്ത്യന്‍ തടവുകാരെ വിട്ടയക്കാന്‍ സൗദി കിരീടാവകാശി മുഹമ്മദ് ബിന്‍ സല്‍മാന്‍ ഉത്തരവിട്ടു. രണ്ട് ദിവസത്തെ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ സന്ദര്‍ശനത്തിനായി ദില്ലിയിലെത്തിയ സല്‍മാന്‍ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി നരേന്ദ്രമോദിയുടെ അഭ്യര്‍ത്ഥന മാനിച്ചാണ് 850 തടവുകാരെ വിട്ടയക്കുമെന്ന് പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചതെന്ന് വിദേശകാര്യവക്താവ് രവീഷ് കുമാര്‍ അറിയിച്ചു.
രാഷ്ട്രപതി ഭവനില്‍ പ്രസിഡന്‍റ് രാംനാഥ് കോവിന്ദ് ഒരുക്കിയ അത്താഴ വിരുന്നിനിടെയാണ് 850 ഇന്ത്യന്‍ തടവുകാരെ മോചിപ്പിക്കുമെന്ന വിവരം സൗദി കിരീടാവകാശിയില്‍ നിന്നുമുണ്ടായത്. 2884 ഇന്ത്യക്കാര്‍ സൗദി അറേബ്യയിലെ വിവിധ ജയിലുകളില്‍ തടവുകാരായി ഉണ്ടെന്ന് നേരെത്തെ കേന്ദ്രസര്‍ക്കാര്‍ പാര്‍ലമെന്‍റില്‍ അറിയിച്ചിരുന്നു.
ഇതോടൊപ്പം പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി നരേന്ദ്രമോദിയുടെ ആവശ്യപ്രകാരം ഇന്ത്യയ്ക്കുള്ള ഹജ്ജ് ക്വോട്ട രണ്ട് ലക്ഷമായി ഉയര്‍ത്താനും സൗദി ഭരണകൂടം തീരുമാനിച്ചതായി രവീഷ് കുമാര്‍ അറിയിച്ചു. ഇക്കാര്യവും മുഹമ്മദ് ബിന്‍ സല്‍മാനാണ് ഇന്ത്യാ സന്ദര്‍ശനത്തിനിടെ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചത്.
പെട്രോ-കെമിക്കല്‍സ്, ഊര്‍ജ്ജം, റിഫൈനറി, അടിസ്ഥാനസൗകര്യ വികസനം, കൃഷി, വ്യവസായം തുടങ്ങി വിവിധ മേഖലകളിലായി 100 ബില്ല്യണ്‍ ഡോളറിന്‍റെ നിക്ഷേപം ഇന്ത്യയില്‍ നടത്തുമെന്നും സൗദി കിരീടാവകാശി ഉഭയകക്ഷി ചര്‍ച്ചകള്‍ക്കിടയില്‍ അറിയിച്ചു.
ഇതോടൊപ്പം നിക്ഷേപം, വിനോദസഞ്ചാരമേഖല, ഐടി തുടങ്ങിയ വിവിധ മേഖലകളില്‍ സഹകരണം ശക്തമാക്കാനുള്ല കരാറുകളിലും ഇരുരാജ്യങ്ങളും ഒപ്പുവച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
