മാഞ്ചസ്റ്റര്‍: ലോകകപ്പില്‍ വെസ്റ്റ് ഇന്‍ഡീസിനെതിരെ രോഹിത് ശര്‍മ്മയുടെ വിക്കറ്റ് അനുവദിച്ച അംപയര്‍മാരുടെ തീരുമാനത്തില്‍ പ്രതിഷേധം ശക്തമാകുന്നു. അംപയര്‍മാരുടെ തീരുമാനത്തിനെതിരെ ആകാശ് ചോപ്ര, ജോഫ്രാ ആര്‍ച്ചര്‍, ബ്രാഡ് ഹോഗ് തുടങ്ങി നിരവധി പേര്‍ രംഗത്തെത്തി.
Was there enough conclusive evidence to give Rohit caught-behind? I’m not so sure....but that’s strictly my opinion. Umpire giving it Not-Out is the equivalent of a soft-signal in this case....

അള്‍ട്രാ എഡ്‌ജില്‍ പന്ത് ഉരസിയതായി തെളിഞ്ഞെങ്കിലും ബാറ്റിലാണോ പാഡിലാണോ എന്ന് വ്യക്തമായിരുന്നില്ല. എങ്കിലും ഡിആര്‍എസ് പരിശോധിച്ച മൂന്നാം അംപയര്‍ ഔട്ട് വിധിച്ചു. ബാറ്റ്സ്‌മാന് അനുകൂലമായി വിധി അനുവദിക്കാം എന്നിരിക്കെയാണ് മൂന്നാം അംപയറുടെ ഈ നടപടി. ഇതിനു പിന്നാലെയാണ് വ്യാപക പ്രതിഷേധം ഉയര്‍ന്നത്.
