ദില്ലി: ഇന്ന് രാവിലെ ദില്ലിയില്‍ അന്തരിച്ച പ്രമുഖ സോഷ്യലിസ്റ്റ് നേതാവും മുന്‍ കേന്ദ്ര പ്രതിരോധമന്ത്രിയുമായ ജോര്‍ജ് ഫെര്‍ണാണ്ടസിന്‍റെ നിര്യാണത്തില്‍ അനുശോചിച്ച് പ്രമുഖര്‍. നീതിക്ക് വേണ്ടി പോരാടിയ നേതാവായിരുന്നു ജോര്‍ജ് ഫെര്‍ണാണ്ടസെന്നും ഇന്ത്യയെ ശക്തവും സുദൃഢവുമാക്കിയ പ്രതിരോധമന്ത്രിയും ദീര്‍ഘ വീഷണമുള്ള റെയില്‍വെ മന്ത്രിയുമായിരുന്നു അദ്ദേഹമെന്നും പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി നരേന്ദ്രമോദി അനുസ്മരിച്ചു.

Distressed to learn of the passing of Shri George Fernandes, who served India in many capacities, including as Defence Minister. He epitomised simple living and high thinking. And was a champion of democracy, during the Emergency and beyond. We will all miss him
