Community Guidelines
Content on Asianxt App comes from two primary sources: 1) Editorial news content from Asianxt journalists, which undergoes our standard journalistic verification processes, and 2) Independent creator content, which represents the views and analysis of independent creators. While we encourage diversity of thought, creator content is the opinion of the creator and should be critically evaluated by the user.
When consuming news, creator videos, creating content, commenting on stories, or replying to others in the community, users (referred to as a “User”, “you” or “your”) means any individual or entity who accesses, browses or in any way uses the Website, whether as a guest or a registered account holder) are expected to follow these guidelines:
These Community Guidelines apply to all users, all content, and all interactions on the app, including posts, comments, messages, profiles, usernames, images, videos, and links.
You own the content you create and share. However, by posting on the app, you give the Company permission to host, display, and moderate your content to keep the community safe and compliant with these guidelines.
By submitting content (especially video for distribution), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable license to host, edit (for formatting/length), and distribute your content across our social media platforms, subject to our pre-publication review and moderation guidelines. We review all user-submitted videos for legal compliance before distribution. We reserve the right to reject content that does not meet internal policies and standards or comply with applicable law.
Share content and comments that are relevant to news, public interest topics, or informed opinions. When stating facts, ensure they are accurate and, where possible, supported by reliable sources.
We encourage content and interactions that are:
- Respectful, kind, and constructive
- Honest and authentic
- Relevant to the purpose of the app
- Safe for a general audience (unless clearly marked otherwise)
- Lawful and responsible
Healthy debate and different opinions are welcome, as long as they are shared respectfully.
Users may reference or share limited portions of copyrighted material for purposes such as news reporting, criticism, review, commentary, education, or research, as permitted under The Indian Copyright Act, 1957. Any such use must:
- Be fair, reasonable, and proportionate to the purpose for which the material is used
- Not adversely affect the rights or legitimate interests of the copyright owner
- Include appropriate attribution to the original author or source wherever practicable.
The reproduction or distribution of entire copyrighted works or substantial portions thereof without prior authorisation from the rights holder is strictly prohibited.
We reserve the absolute right to remove, restrict access to, or take other appropriate action against content that is alleged or determined to infringe copyright or other intellectual property rights, in accordance with applicable law.
Treat other users, creators, journalists, and public figures with respect. Disagreement is welcome, but personal attacks, harassment, or abusive language are not permitted.
All users must:
- Treat others with respect and dignity
- Disagree without personal attacks or harassment
- Avoid threats, bullying, or intimidation
- Respect personal boundaries and privacy
- Communicate in good faith
Harassment, repeated unwanted contact, or attempts to provoke others are not allowed and may result in punitive action including restriction or removal of a user account.
- Creators must declare at the time of upload if a video or image has been created or significantly modified using Generative AI or synthetic tools.
- Creators must include a clear, prominent watermark or text overlay stating 'AI-Generated' or 'Synthetically Modified.'
- Creators must include an audible disclaimer if the voice is synthesised.
- Creators must not strip or tamper with digital fingerprints or metadata that identify content as synthetic.

The creation, upload, or distribution of non-consensual intimate imagery, including 'deepfakes' or any AI-generated content that depicts a person in a sexual or derogatory manner, is prohibited. Such content will be removed within 2 hours of a valid report in compliance with applicable laws.

The severity of the action depends on the nature of the violation, past behaviour, and potential harm. Serious violations may result in immediate account removal.
In accordance with applicable laws, we adhere to the following timelines for removal of content.
- 2 hours (Sensitive Violations): Applied to complaints involving non-consensual intimate imagery (NCII), including deepfake nudity, sexual acts, or morphed images of a sexual nature. Access will be disabled within two hours of receipt of the complaint.
- 3 hours (Government/Court Orders): Applied to ‘actual knowledge’ received via a court order or a written, reasoned intimation from an authorised government officer (Joint Secretary level or above) regarding content that violates sovereignty, public order, or state security.
- 36 hours: Applied to specific prohibited content reports that are not covered by the emergency windows set out above, but require urgent action, such as misinformation causing public harm or identity theft.
- 7 days: The Grievance Redressal Officer shall resolve all other user complaints within a maximum of seven days from the date of receipt.
Users are encouraged to report content or behaviour that violates these guidelines. Our moderation team reviews report and takes appropriate action. We aim to apply these rules fairly and consistently to protect the community.
We may update these Community Guidelines from time to time. Continued use of the app means you agree to the latest version.
